         PTP Links - A Step By Step Guide

AP Bridge & Station WDS
This article will show a very quick overview for beginners on setting up a Point to Point link in Router OS Winbox graphical configuration tool.
Requirements :-
1. 2 Nos of Mikrotik Metal 5SHPN. 2. 30 dbi Grid antenna make KBT.
Instructions

Start by opening the Mikroitk Metal 5SHPN through Winbox. then You will see WLAN listed here, they might be disabled - to turn them on, click on the blue Enable button. Make sure that the interface is configured and the antennas are connected before you enable an interface. this configure for only AP device. 1.JPG

To configure an interface, double-click on WLAN, and the config window will appear. To set the device as an AP Bridge mode, choose "AP bridge" mode. You can also set other things, like the desired band, frequency, SSID and the security profile. also chose nv2 protocol for both end for better throughput. 13.JPG

Then add a bridge and add ether1 & wlan1 in bridge port. also add both end device. 15.JPG 16.JPG

Then create WDS in AP end device. 18.JPG

You probably want your AP to be secure, so you need to configure WPA2 security. Close the wireless setting window with OK if you are done, and move to the Security Profiles tab of the Wireless interface window. There, make a new profile with the Add button and set desired WPA2 settings. You can choose this new security profile back in the Interface configuration. also configure both end ( AP Bridge & Stations) 14.JPG

Then open station end device through winbox and set mode , frequency ,SSID and security profile.. 19.JPG

Then see Registration Table for signal check.. 20.JPG
